I miss my husband

I had a horrible day. Everything just seemed to go wrong. I spent a good portion of the day in tears and although I know that Bob noticed several times, he said nothing, nor offered  comfort. His empathy button has been broken for quite awhile.
Maybe its just stress, maybe its this horrible feeling of being so alone these days. But I cried-- alot. And I had no control over it.
I really miss my husband. I dont know how to explain that. He is sitting less then 5 feet from me staring at the floor as he has every evening for the past month or so and yet he is so far out of reach he may as well be in another country.
Have I said I really miss my Husband? I so hate this disease.

  1. Hi Lori-My heart goes out to you. Maybe it's time to contact the Alzheimer's Foundation in your area to see if they can give you any respite time so you can attend a caregiver's meeting. It is important for you to begin processing the tremendous loss. It's important to contact them now and get their guidelines. Good luck and keep in touch. Jan

  2. Hi, I wish I was there to help you. You need some time to yourself. Just a few hours a week would help you so much. Bet if you ask the boys for just 3 or 4 hours a week they could help you out. If they each took a turn it would be a life saver for you. You give so much to them now allow them to return the favor and give you time. Love you, Mom
